Evenings and weekends expected; event schedules may vary. Overdrive Raceway is looking for a Bar & Event Manager who can run a welcoming, well-organized bar and turn good ideas into more guest visits, stronger sales, and repeat business. Your primary responsibility is to lead and grow the bar. You will also help sell and coordinate corporate events, birthday parties, and group outings at our indoor go-kart venue. This is an active role that combines bartending, team leadership, creative promotions, and sales follow-through. You will have the opportunity to shape the drink menu, improve the guest experience, and build a bar and event business that people want to return to. What you will do Lead daily bar operations, work scheduled bar shifts, and keep service organized during busy periods. Develop creative drink menus, seasonal specials, and promotions that increase sales while protecting margins. Engage guests, recommend suitable drinks and packages, and encourage repeat visits through thoughtful service. Manage inventory, purchasing, waste, cash handling, and opening and closing routines. Recruit, train, coach, and schedule bar team members within an agreed staffing budget. Respond promptly to event inquiries, prepare proposals, follow up with prospects, and help turn interest into confirmed bookings. Develop relationships with local businesses, organizations, and past event customers to generate new and repeat events. Coordinate event details and bar service with the track and event teams so guests receive what was promised. Track bar revenue, event sales, labor costs, and promotion results; use the numbers to improve performance. Maintain responsible alcohol service, cleanliness, and venue safety standards. What you bring Practical bartending experience and a solid understanding of bar operations. Experience leading a shift or team, organizing coverage, and maintaining service standards. A proactive approach to selling, following up, and building customer relationships. The ability to turn a promotional idea into an organized plan and measure its results. Comfort with inventory, sales reports, scheduling, and basic cost controls. Clear communication, dependable follow-through, and sound judgment during busy service. Experience selling private events, corporate outings, or parties is helpful. Familiarity with our specific racing packages and systems can be learned; prior go-kart industry experience is not required.

Compensation and benefits Base salary:

$55,000 per year, with a predetermined annual salary increase upon meeting agreed-upon performance goals. Bonus potential tied to year-over-year bar and event performance.
