Iron Horse Sports Pub - Bristol, CT Join the Team at Iron Horse Sports Pub Iron Horse Sports Pub is looking for an experienced, energetic, and hands-on Bar Manager to lead our bar team and help create an exceptional guest experience. We're searching for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and takes pride in building a positive team culture while driving sales and profitability. Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop bartenders and bar statf Create a welcoming atmosphere while delivering outstanding guest service Schedule bar staff and manage labor costs Maintain liquor, beer, wine, and beverage inventory Place beverage orders and manage vendor relationships Control liquor costs through proper inventory management and waste reduction Ensure consistent drink quality and recipe execution Develop seasonal cocktails, beer features, and promotional drink menus Train new bartenders on recipes, service standards, and responsible alcohol service Maintain a clean, organized, and health code-compliant bar Ensure all opening, closing, and side work procedures are completed Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues quickly Assist with restaurant operations when needed and work closely with the other managers Help plan special events, holiday promotions, and game day specials Maintain all Connecticut liquor law compliance and ID verification procedures Qualifications Minimum 2 years of bartending management or bar management experience Strong leadership and communication skills Extensive knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and craft cocktails Experience with inventory management and cost control Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Leads with a positive attitude Holds themselves and others accountable Is passionate about hospitality Can motivate and develop a strong team Takes ownership of the bar and treats it like their own business Loves creating memorable experiences for guests We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Performance bonus opportunities Employee discounts Growth opportunities within a growing restaurant group Supportive, team-oriented work environment Opportunity to make a lasting impact on one of Bristol's premier sports pubs If you're passionate about hospitality, leadership, and creating an unforgettable bar experience, we'd love to meet you!
