At Moxy Washington, DC Downtown, food and beverage is at the heart of the guest experience. We're looking for an energetic, hospitality-driven Outlet Front of House Manager to oversee the daily front-of-house operations of Lucha Rosa and Rosa's Diner. If you're a hands-on leader who loves developing people, creating memorable guest experiences, and keeping a busy restaurant running smoothly, this is an opportunity to make your mark. What You'll Lead As the Outlet Front of House Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day guest experience across Rosa's Diner and Lucha Rosa. You'll lead from the floor, support your team during service, and work closely with hotel and restaurant leadership to ensure exceptional hospitality and operational excellence. You'll be responsible for: Leading daily front-of-house operations fo r Rosa's Diner and Lucha Rosa, including opening and closing procedures. Creating a welcoming, energetic environment where guests receive genuine and memorable hospitality. Hiring, training, coaching, and developing front-of-house team members, including servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff. Setting clear expectations for service standards, professionalism, teamwork, and guest engagement. Being highly visible on the floor and actively supporting the team during busy service periods. Managing reservations, table assignments, pacing, guest flow, and overall dining room operations. Monitoring service throughout each shift and addressing guest needs, concerns, and recovery opportunities promptly and professionally. Conducting pre-shift meetings and communicating daily priorities, specials, promotions, and operational updates. Supporting labor management, scheduling, and staffing levels to meet business demands while maintaining service standards. Monitoring sales, labor, and operational performance and communicating opportunities to leadership. Maintaining high standards for cleanliness, organization, food and beverage service, and overall presentation. Working closely with the culinary team to ensure smooth communication between the kitchen and front of house. Supporting special events, promotions, private dining, and hotel-related activations. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and company policies. Building relationships with repeat guests and creating an environment that encourages guests to return. Jumping in wherever needed—whether that's running food, helping the bar, greeting guests, or supporting the team through a busy service. Who You Are You're a hands-on hospitality leader who understands that great restaurants are built on great people and great experiences. You're comfortable leading from the front, making decisions in a fast-paced environment, and holding yourself and your team accountable while maintaining a positive and welcoming culture. You'll be successful if you have: 3+ years of progressive front-of-house or restaurant management experience, preferably in an upscale restaurant, hotel, lifestyle concept, or high-volume dining environment. Experience leading and developing front-of-house teams. Strong knowledge of restaurant service, guest relations, and day-to-day operations. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment. Experience with scheduling, labor management, and basic restaurant financials preferred. A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences. A positive, energetic leadership style and a willingness to lead by example. The ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable. Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and high-volume periods.
