Duties Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and support personnel, to maintain high standards of food quality and safety. Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes and menu specifications. Manage inventory control and ordering to optimize stock levels while minimizing waste and controlling costs. Develop innovative menu options aligned with restaurant concepts and customer preferences, incorporating fine dining techniques when appropriate. Enforce food safety sanitizing procedures and ensure compliance with all health regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service delivery. Monitor shift operations, manage labor costs, and implement effective cost control measures to maximize profitability. Maintain strong team management practices by providing training, mentorship, and performance feedback to foster a motivated culinary team. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth communication between kitchen and service teams for optimal guest satisfaction. Uphold standards for food handling, hygiene, and sanitation in accordance with industry best practices. Experience Proven experience in food production within a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably in fine dining or catering environments. Demonstrated supervisory experience managing culinary teams in fast-paced settings. Extensive knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and health regulations. Strong background in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management including inventory control and cost management. Experience overseeing banquet services or large-scale catering events is highly desirable. Familiarity with managing kitchen operations during shifts, including staffing schedules and resource allocation. Prior experience in restaurant management or food service management roles that showcase leadership skills in a hospitality environment.
