Our assistants embrace the purpose of teaching and witness the tenets of the Catholic Faith, instill a sense of Christ's mission, charity and service to others; assist in drawing the school community into worship and to build, support and maintain a Catholic culture throughout the school and create a vibrant Catholic culture within the classroom, emphasized through words, deeds, manner of dress and actions. Job Responsibilities Guide vehicles safely through the morning and afternoon carlines, ensuring drivers follow speed limits and school traffic patterns.
Assist students with safely entering and exiting vehicles during morning drop-off and afternoon pickup.
Assists Teachers in classroom routines, getting students to class.
Escort classes safely across campus to PE field, lunchroom and recess duty. Attend with classes weekly Mass; Adoration; and Rosary walk.
Assist with clerical duties for teachers: filing student work, making copies and other duties as assigned. Assists in the preparation of lesson plan materials such as copies, manipulative and/or other equipment/materials necessary; provide assistance in classroom activities.
Reinforce rules of the school and classroom; escorts students to time-out or Principal's office.
Escorts, supervise and/or provide assistance to students during lunch breaks, restroom visits and other activities.
Any other duties as assigned. High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
1-3 years of experience working with children.
Strong communications skills both written and oral.
Ability to work with children from Pre-Kindergarten through Middle School. Proficiency with computer network systems and software programs.
Ability to use technology to enhance student learning.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Undergoing a FDLE Level 2 background check.
