Job Summary We are seeking a couple with a love of food who, together, bring substantial experience in creating recipes, working at a stove in a small restaurant, and managing a restaurant and bar. The long term goal is to create a destination restaurant for customers generally living within an hour while still satisfying the needs of our small community. If our visions and personalities match you can expect substantial control, opportunities to express your creativity, and the possibility of an ownership interest down the road. Flexibility is necessary-but we would expect to reciprocate it from our end. Children are not a deal killer and living accommodations may be in the mix. For a creative, hard-working couple who have always wanted a chance to create their own restaurant this may be the opportunity you have been looking for. Responsibilities Hire, train, lead and manage the kitchen team, including supervising cooks and kitchen staff to ensure attention to detail, consistency, and smooth daily operations. Hire, train, lead and manage front of house staff assuring familiarity with and an understanding of food and drink items, attention to detail, professional and quality service. Develop and plan innovative menus and/or specials that initially build on an established menu, and continue to satisfy local expectations while attracting more adventurous clientele. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to safety standards Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste Ensure compliance with food safety sanitizing procedures and health regulations Monitor food production processes to track and control costs. Oversee kitchen cleanliness, sanitation practices, and equipment maintenance Manage shift schedules, labor costs, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency Qualifications Proven experience in fine dining establishments or similar high-end culinary environments Strong background in food service management, including restaurant or catering experience Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams as a chef and restaurant manager Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and health regulations Expertise in menu planning, food production, and cost control strategies Experience supervising inventory management and controlling food costs Excellent culinary skills with a focus on quality presentation and flavor profiles Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach to team management

$30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
