- valid drivers license Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and motivated Manager to lead our vibrant Wine Bar and Plant Shop.
This dynamic role combines the art of wine service with the passion for plants, creating a lively environment where guests can enjoy expertly curated wines alongside beautiful greenery. As a key leader, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer experiences, manage staff, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere that celebrates both fine wines and botanical beauty. Your leadership will inspire team members to deliver outstanding service while fostering a fun, fast-paced environment that encourages growth and creativity. Responsibilities Lead daily operations of the wine bar and plant shop, ensuring smooth service flow and high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to cultivate a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team capable of delivering exceptional customer service Oversee inventory control for wine selections, plants, and related merchandise, ensuring stock levels are maintained and product quality is upheld Handle POS system Toast for transactions including cash handling, sales processing, and reporting Maintain food safety standards by supervising food preparation processes when applicable, ensuring compliance with health regulations Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, offering wine recommendations, plant care advice, and creating memorable experiences Coordinate with vendors for procurement of wines, plants, and supplies while managing budgets effectively to maximize profitability Supervise kitchen or bar operations as needed during busy periods or special events such as tastings or private functions Requirements Proven management experience in food service or hospitality environments, preferably within casual dining or boutique retail settings Strong background in food preparation, cooking, or beverage service including barista or wine expertise Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash handling and sales reporting required Demonstrated skills in inventory control, food safety practices, and food management procedures Experience supervising staff through training & development initiatives; comfortable with interviewing and team management Knowledge of hospitality management principles including shift management, customer service excellence, and kitchen or bar operations Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness Excellent communication skills coupled with leadership qualities that motivate team members toward shared goals Join us to lead a lively space where wine lovers meet plant enthusiasts!
