Flexible, including evenings and weekends as required for events About the Role Sarasota Catering Company is looking for a highly organized, hands-on Catering & Event Logistics Manager to oversee the preparation, packing, transportation, and setup of our catering events. We cater everything from private weddings and corporate functions to large-scale sporting events and hospitality venues. This is a practical, fast-paced position for someone who enjoys being organized, working with their hands, and making sure every event runs smoothly. Organization is absolutely essential. Every event must be carefully packed, checked, and prepared before leaving our facility. We need someone who takes ownership of the details and ensures nothing is forgotten. Key Responsibilities Event Packing & Organization Pre-pack all catering events using detailed packing lists. Ensure every event has the correct equipment, supplies, food transport containers, and service items. Double-check packing lists before vehicles leave the facility. Organize equipment by event, venue, and delivery schedule. Keep track of missing, damaged, or low-stock equipment. Check equipment back in after events, ensuring everything is cleaned, accounted for, and returned to its designated storage location. Prepare equipment and supplies in advance for upcoming events. Event Logistics & Transportation Drive company vehicles to deliver food, equipment, and supplies to events. Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently. Coordinate multiple deliveries, collections, and event setups. Set up and break down temporary catering kitchens, buffet stations, and service areas. Assist with kitchen infrastructure and equipment setup at sporting events, hospitality venues, and large-scale functions. Work closely with event captains, chefs, and the office team to ensure smooth execution. Equipment & Facility Management Maintain an exceptionally clean and organized equipment storage area. Oversee catering equipment, hot boxes, transport carts, tables, and event supplies. Perform basic equipment maintenance and minor repairs when appropriate. Keep vehicles, trailers, and equipment clean and ready for use. Monitor inventory and report purchasing or replacement needs. Develop efficient systems for equipment storage, packing, and event preparation. What We're Looking For Extremely organized and detail-oriented — this is our number one requirement. Previous experience in catering, event logistics, hospitality operations, or a similar hands-on position. Ability to independently manage packing lists and prepare multiple events at once. Comfortable driving delivery vehicles and transporting catering equipment. Practical, mechanically minded, and comfortable with basic equipment maintenance. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Able to manage changing schedules and work under pressure. Physically capable of regularly lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading catering equipment. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Dependable, punctual, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities. What Success Looks Like Our ideal candidate takes pride in having everything organized and ready before anyone needs to ask.
