Job Description

Thicc Burger is an old fashioned burger joint, started in Los Angeles California in 2020. We're growing, and we're looking for a hands-on leader who knows how to run a great shift, build a strong team, and keep the numbers where they need to be.
THE ROLE
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is the General Manager's right hand
  • running day-to-day operations, leading the crew on the floor, and making sure every guest gets a great experience, every time.
You'll help manage labor, inventory, food safety, and team performance while stepping up to lead the restaurant in the GM's absence. This is a great opportunity for a restaurant professional who's ready for more ownership, more responsibility, and a clear path toward a General Manager role.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead daily shift operations
  • openings, closings, cash handling, labor scheduling
  • Coach and hold the crew accountable to our service, speed, and quality standards
  • Serve as manager on duty; handle guest concerns and make real-time calls
  • Monitor food cost, waste, and inventory; place and receive orders
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, sanitation, and labor law standards
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and scheduling for hourly team members
  • Track shift and daily metrics (sales, labor %, waste) against store targets
  • Keep the restaurant clean, safe, stocked, and on-brand
  • Jump onto any station when the shift needs it
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • 2+ years of restaurant experience, including at least 1 year in a shift lead, supervisor, or assistant manager role
  • Proven ability to lead a team through high-volume, fast-paced shifts
  • Working knowledge of food safety practices; SERV Safe certification a plus, or willingness to get certified
  • Basic understanding of P&L, labor cost, and inventory management
  • Clear communication and a calm head under pressure
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
