In this pivotal role, you will lead daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and support the management team in maintaining a high-performing, efficient, and welcoming environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your managerial skills within a dynamic food service setting. Responsibilities Oversee daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff and managing shift activities to ensure smooth service flow. Assist in training and developing team members on food preparation, customer service standards, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and food safety protocols. Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety by supervising kitchen activities and food handling procedures. Manage inventory control, including stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability. Handle cash transactions accurately, perform cash handling duties, and reconcile register reports at the end of shifts. Support management in conducting staff interviews, hiring new team members, and implementing training & development programs. Maintain a positive environment by supervising team management tasks such as shift management, staff scheduling, and enforcing restaurant policies aligned with hospitality management best practices. Qualifications Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food production. Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience within a restaurant setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash handling and basic math skills are essential. Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and food handling regulations. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and communicate clearly with staff and customers. Experience in managing hospitality teams, including training staff on culinary techniques, customer service excellence, and operational procedures. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities such as shift management, inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis confidently. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on team training, supervising kitchen operations, and ensuring compliance with health standards.
