Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food production, eventual menu planning, and inventory management.
- Ensure that all food is prepared and served in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage, maintain and train kitchen staff, including cooks and food preparation workers.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and specials.
- Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without sacrificing quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a kitchen management role is required.
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices.
- Proven ability to effectively manage a team of kitchen staff.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with menu planning and recipe development.
Skills:
- Food production: Demonstrated ability to prepare a variety of dishes using different cooking techniques.
- Team management: Experience leading and motivating a team of kitchen staff members.
- Kitchen management: Proficient in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including inventory management and equipment maintenance.
