Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Subway General Manager to oversee daily operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety and quality, controlling inventory, and maintaining high standards of hospitality in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in both casual and fine dining settings, along with proficiency in POS systems is highly desirable. Duties Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, training, and performance management to foster a motivated team. Oversee food preparation processes to ensure quality standards are met while maintaining food safety regulations. Manage daily restaurant operations including shift management, customer service, and ensuring efficient workflow. Handle cash transactions accurately and manage POS systems effectively. Control inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor food production to minimize waste and optimize costs. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards. Coordinate with staff on food presentation, menu updates, and culinary standards. Implement training & development programs to enhance staff skills in hospitality management, food safety, and customer service. Supervise restaurant cleanliness, organization, and overall ambiance to provide a welcoming environment for guests. Assist with budgeting, sales analysis, and strategic planning to improve overall restaurant performance. Experience Proven management experience within the food industry, preferably in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining establishments. Extensive background in food service management including supervising teams, managing shifts, and overseeing kitchen operations. Familiarity with POS systems is essential. Strong knowledge of food safety protocols, inventory control, and cost management practices. Experience with fine dining or banquet service is a plus. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train staff effectively and foster a positive team environment. Prior experience in hospitality management or hotel food & beverage operations is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
