Job Description
The House Tutoring Lounge The House is a membership-based academic lounge built entirely for teenagers. Students come to the lounge after school to study, meet friends, and get instant help from tutors in any subject whenever they need it. The lounge is busy, social, and dynamic, similar to a great café or co-working space. It's a place where strong operators thrive. A great night in this role means the lounge is fully staffed, running smoothly, students are engaged, and the environment feels organized, energetic, and under control. We currently have two locations in Winnetka and Highland Park, IL. Assistant Lounge Manager (Evening Shift) We are looking for an Assistant Lounge Manager to take full ownership of our evening shift. Think of it like managing a great coffee shop or restaurant floor - but instead of drinks and food, the product is an environment where students can get help instantly. This is a leadership role, not an assistant or support position. You will be the point person running the lounge each evening, trusted to lead the team and ensure everything runs at a high level. This role is built around consistent leadership during our most important hours. It is ideal for someone who takes pride in running a tight, professional operation and being the person others rely on. This role is a strong entry point into leadership at The House . Top performers are trusted with more responsibility quickly and can grow into higher management roles as we expand. No tutoring experience is needed. You are managing the system, not doing the tutoring.
