Job Description

An Onion Expert / Shift Leader is responsible for slicing, processing, and quality control of the onion rings produced by Superior Frozen Foods, LLC. Full time -
Monday-Friday:
5:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. Demonstrates and masters the skills to prepare onion rings properly within established time standards. Follows all standardized recipes and procedures. Follows all company and FDA (Food & Drug Administration) food safety standards and practices. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by cleaning work stations, equipment, and utensils. Ability to calculate productions levels and pars. Checks onion ring processing equipment for proper settings, functionality, and temperatures. Keeps onion ring processing equipment operating in top shape by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and informing management of needed repairs Masters and executes all opening, mid-day, and closing duties Exceeds quality standards and provides superior food products and services. Removes garbage and recycling. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience in a restaurant kitchen or food production facility necessary. Additional Requirements ServSafe Certification required Ability to work well with others and take direction Exceptional math skills to calculate production pars Ability to work well to meet challenging timelines Accuracy in executing assigned tasks. Exemplary communication, organizational and multitasking skills. Answer, report, and follow all supervisor instructions and directions. Manufacturing environment Exposure to loud noises Long periods of standing and/or walking up to 12 hours per day Bi-lingual a plus!
