Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant General Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of The Aviary and The Rookery (our sister restaurant on the same property.) The ideal candidate will have experience managing and motivating staff and be responsible for overseeing bar operations. Duties Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure a smooth workflow and efficient service. Train and motivate staff. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain financial records. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Assist in budgeting processes and inventory management to optimize costs. Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to enhance guest satisfaction. Monitor cleanliness and organization of the restaurant environment. Track inventories at bar and place orders accordingly. Qualifications 2-3 years of experience in restaurant management. Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Have a keen eyesight for details.
