Full Job Description Job Title:
Food Program Manager The Foundations Preschool Food Program Manager is responsible for ensuring the state nutrition, licensing, and organization guidelines are met for safe and nutritious meals and snacks. Cleaning, organizing, preparing (we do not cook from scratch- but warming up food, cutting fruit, etc.

20- 25 hours per week. M-F (example: 9:00 am
- 2:00 pm)

Prior Experience in the Food Industry (preferred) Reliable Transportation Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills Computer Literate Able to manage competing priorities High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities. Outstanding interpersonal skills and positive attitude. Prior work with children a plus Job Duties Come to work on time and be ready to give 100% every day. Follow through on projects and assignments. Learn and comply with the CACFP and State of Michigan Licensing Rules and Regulations as they relate to the food program Understand and comply with the food program curriculum and needs Build professional relationships with other program staff and the Foundations' administration team. Complete daily and weekly kitchen duties. This includes but is not limited to:- Keep a clean and orderly kitchen
- Receive Food Deliveries
- Complete the required paperwork
- Monitor spending and turn in all receipts on time
- Store food as needed when it arrives from the food supplier; keep the food pantry organized
- Stock kitchen items regularly so staff has their needs met and orders can be made in a timely manner (food, paper products, utensils, etc.)
- Help ensure there is enough food for at least two weeks' worth of breakfasts and snacks in the event that you are absent.
- Warm up meals as needed; deliver food on carts in a way that it can be easily presented for two family-style tables in each classroom.
- After meal times, collect carts from each classroom. Wash and sanitize dishes and serving utensils.
- Have breakfast ready for the next day
- Complete daily temperature checks of the fridge and freezers in the kitchen.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods.Job Type:
