Job Summary:
Come be a part of our team at The Pier in Harbor Springs! We are looking for the right person to fill the Assistant Restaurant Manager position. This person's primary duty is to assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations at our restaurant. If you pride yourself on delivering an excellent guest experience and are willing to stand by our company's high culinary, service, and sanitation standards, this may be the job for you!Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in hiring and training restaurant staff. Organize and oversee the staff schedules. Conduct, or assist in conducting, performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Assist in the discipline and termination of employees in accordance with restaurant policy. Oversee food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards. Ensure customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience. Handle customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner. Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations. Assist in maintaining proper food and beverage costs. Conduct daily inspection of restaurant and equipment to ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards. Periodically evaluate restaurant equipment for repairs and maintenance needs and schedule service. Attend meetings to help develop appetizing menus and build our regional market share. Create and implement strategies to boost sales, including promotions, events, and partnerships. Work directly with the Sales and Marketing team to drive and execute marketing plans Maintain sales records and track cash receipts. Prepare and submit operations reports and other documentation as requested. Perform opening and closing duties as scheduled. Perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills & Abilities:
Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Excellent interpersonal skills; able to communicate well with customers and staff members. Excellent time management and organizational skills; attention to detail. Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.). Must be able to work weekends and holidays.Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous restaurant supervisory experience required; management experience preferred.Physical Requirements :
Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly. Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting to work at a computer. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.Benefit Details:
