Job Description

Coach's Bar & Grill is seeking a Restaurant Manager. We are looking for a person who is passionate about the restaurant industry, has a strong work ethic and a desire to be a key part of our existing management team. The ideal candidate has at least two years of restaurant experience in a management role. We are willing to train the right candidate and there are plenty of opportunities to advance with our team. This role will have a Catering focus.
Availability Requirements:
  • Full-Time, Part-Time
  • Nights, weekends and holidays
  • Opening and closing shifts
Position Summary:
Oversees the guest satisfaction, food and beverage quality, and overall cleanliness of the restaurant. Adaptable and able to manage shifts daily, such as monitoring sales, labor, and discounts. Needs to be hands on and works side by side with all types of employees in FOH and BOH. Sets the restaurant and employees up for success with during shift and takes care of opening/closing duties/paperwork. Executes food safety standards and overall cleanliness of the restaurant. Will continue to build on the Coach's culture and looks to develop their team and themselves. Reports to the general manager.
Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge and understanding of all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs within Coach's Bar & Grill
  • Knowledge of all day-to-day operating procedures, including both front of house and back of house operating procedures
  • Oversee and ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Oversee and ensure all food and beverages are consistently prepared, and are served according to Coach's Bar & Grill's recipes, portions and quality standards
  • Work with the management team on the planning, promotion and/or execution of: o Private guest events o Catering orders and buffets o Special events at the restaurant o Live music
  • Supervise and guide all staff; oversee and ensure: o Positive working environment o Conflict resolution o Consistent training programs o Prompt and consistent corrective action as needed
  • Assist or fill in as needed in all positions as business warrants
  • Labor monitoring and scheduling
  • Oversee and ensure all opening and/or closing duties are completed correctly, and that the restaurant is clean in all areas
  • Work with the management team on the creation, development, costing and execution of seasonal food and beverage menus
  • Work with the management team to ensure profitability of the restaurant
  • Work with the management team to maintain positive relationships with vendors
  • Maintain knowledge of local, collegiate and professional sports on a day-to-day basis
  • Maintain open communication with management team and owners
Key Skills:
  • Team Player/Hands On
  • Experience working with Toast point of sale system preferred
  • Computer proficient, including Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to think critically and adapt to changing environments
