Responsibilities Assist with managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth shift flow and high-quality service delivery Supervise team members during shifts, providing guidance, motivation, and training to uphold company standards Oversee food preparation and food handling processes to maintain safety, quality, and consistency Operate POS systems such as TOAST for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy Support inventory control efforts by monitoring stock levels, assisting with ordering, and minimizing waste Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards through regular inspections Contribute to staff training initiatives, including onboarding new team members and developing existing staff Handle customer inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure positive dining experiences Assist with managing restaurant financials through profit and loss analysis, budgeting, and cost control measures Participate in interviewing potential team members and supporting management in hiring decisions Requirements Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a focus on food preparation, cooking, or kitchen management Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience within the food industry or hospitality sector Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions and reporting Strong knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and food handling procedures Excellent communication skills for managerial roles including training, coaching, and staff development Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and inventory management Prior experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles is highly desirable Capable of working flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed This role offers an exciting pathway into restaurant management with opportunities for professional growth.
