Position:
Dietary Manager Culinary Leadership Oversee and/or prepare high-quality meals with attention to presentation and portion control. Utilize standardized recipes and production tools to ensure consistency and efficiency. Collaborate on menu planning, including holiday and special event offerings. Conduct daily pre-meal briefings with service staff to align on expectations. Team Supervision Training Support hiring, training, and mentoring of culinary team members. Ensure appropriate staffing levels and address performance concerns in coordination with HR. Provide hands-on training to uphold culinary standards and service excellence. Kitchen Operations Compliance Maintain organized, clean, and compliant storage areas. Ensure proper labeling, dating, and storage of food per health regulations. Monitor kitchen equipment and cleanliness to meet safety standards. Inventory Budget Management Assist with ordering and inventory control to align with budget goals. Implement waste reduction and food recycling practices. Support adherence to loss prevention and chemical safety protocols. Resident Community Engagement Engage with residents to gather feedback and enhance dining satisfaction. Assist in planning and executing themed meals and special events. Participate in the Manager on Duty rotation as needed.
Job Requirements:
An associate's degree in Culinary Arts or Food Service is preferred, but not required. Proven experience as a Dietary Manager in a healthcare setting is preferred, but not required. Prior experience in long-term care or senior living environments (preferred). Strong communication skills - both verbal and written. Excellent organizational and leadership abilities. Commitment to food quality, resident satisfaction, and a clean, safe kitchen environment. Customer-service driven with a warm, professional demeanor. #INDEELEAD
