Hwy 61 Roadhouse is looking for a Front of House Shift Leader

• Serving Manager who knows how to lead from the front.

This is not a manager position where you spend your shift sitting in an office. You will be actively working on the restaurant floor, serving your own tables and earning tips while also leading the Front of House team. We are looking for an experienced server who is ready for more responsibility—or an experienced restaurant leader who still enjoys being on the floor and taking care of guests. If you're the person everyone looks for when the restaurant gets busy, we want to talk to you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As our Front of House Shift Leader

• Serving Manager, you'll help run the shift while working alongside the team.

Your responsibilities include:

Serve Your Own Tables

• Provide excellent service and earn tips while working your assigned section. Lead the FOH Team
• Keep servers and hosts organized, motivated, and focused. Manage the Floor
• Watch table flow, sections, seating, ticket times, and overall guest experience. Coach Servers
• Help improve menu knowledge, service standards, teamwork, and upselling. Support the Team
• Run food, pre-bus tables, greet guests, help with drinks, or jump into another section when necessary. Handle Guest Concerns
• Resolve problems quickly, professionally, and with good judgment. Monitor Food Quality
• Make sure food leaving the kitchen meets our standards. Communicate With the Kitchen
• Keep FOH and BOH working together during busy periods. Control Labor
• Help make smart staffing decisions based on business volume. Maintain Cleanliness
• Make sure the dining room, server stations, restrooms, entrance, and guest areas stay clean. Lead Closing Duties
• Make sure side work, cleaning, and closing responsibilities are completed before employees leave. Support Live Music & Events
• Help keep operations organized during high-volume live-music nights and special events. Enforce Restaurant Policies
• Maintain consistent standards for discounts, comps, voids, cash handling, employee meals, attendance, and other restaurant procedures.

WE NEED A WORKING MANAGER

At Hwy 61 Roadhouse, being a leader doesn't mean standing around telling everyone else what to do. You work with your team. If food needs to be run—you run it. If a guest needs help—you take care of them. If a server gets overwhelmed—you step in. If tables need to be cleaned—you help. If the restaurant gets slammed—you take control. No task is beneath the leader responsible for the shift.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You should have: Strong full-service restaurant serving experience Previous Shift Lead, Lead Server, Supervisor, or Management experience preferred Strong leadership and communication skills Excellent guest-service skills Ability to stay calm during high-volume shifts Confidence handling guest complaints Ability to coach and hold employees accountable Strong attention to cleanliness and organization Dependability and punctuality Ability to work nights and weekends Availability for busy live-music and special-event nights A positive attitude with a strong work ethic A willingness to jump in wherever needed
