Front of House Manager Salary Range:
$55,000

Edgewater 122 offers a premier, refined waterfront dining experience on the Cape Fear River in historic Southport. We combine elevated coastal culinary creations, curated wine and cocktail programs, and exceptional, high-touch hospitality. We are seeking a dedicated, polished Front of House Manager to maintain our standards of excellence and help lead our service team. ​ Position Overview The Front of House Manager oversees daily floor operations, ensuring seamless service, superior guest satisfaction, and standard-setting team performance. You will serve as the primary leader on the dining room floor during service, driving our hospitality standards, managing floor staff, and supporting administrative and operational workflows.​ We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Front of House Manager to help lead our hospitality team and ensure an exceptional guest experience. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations of the front-of-house team, manage customer interactions, and uphold the highest standards of service, food safety, and cleanliness. Your leadership will drive a positive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
​Floor Leadership Actively manage and supervise lunch/dinner services-Maintaining high-energy, polished, and attentive table touchpoints. ​Staff Management & Development
  • Recruit, onboard, and train hosts, servers, bussers, and bartenders on elevated service standards, menu knowledge, and wine/cocktail pairings.
​
Guest Experience:
Resolve guest concerns with grace, build relationships with regulars, and maintain high satisfaction metrics. ​
Operational Execution:
Manage reservation flow, table seating pacing, pre-shift briefings, floor line-ups, and end-of-night closing procedures.​
Labor & Inventory Control:
Assist with staff scheduling, labor cost management, and Front-of-House inventory monitoring (glassware, linens, smallwares, and beverage stock). ​Qualifications & Requirements​
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of management or supervisory experience in an upscale or fine-dining restaurant environment (required) .​
Hospitality Standards:
Strong knowledge of refined service etiquette, wine service, craft spirits, and guest relations.​
Leadership Skills:
Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and retaining team members under high-volume pressure.​
Technical Proficiency:
Experience with Aloha POS systems and our reservation platforms ( Resy). Ability to lift at least 50lbs
Availability:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.​ Benefits

Experience Proven management experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining settings with a focus on team leadership and customer service excellence. Extensive background in food industry operations including food preparation, cooking, food handling, and food safety management. Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling expertise required. Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively while managing shift operations in a high-volume environment. Knowledge of inventory control practices, budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and food production processes. Prior experience in hospitality management with a focus on team training, supervising hospitality teams, and managing restaurant or catering services is highly desirable. Strong communication skills for managerial tasks such as interviewing candidates, staff training, and managerial communication with team members. Familiarity with fine dining or casual dining environments; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
