Job Description
Overview We are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager - Restaurant to lead our vibrant hospitality team. This pivotal role requires a passionate leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, driving operational excellence, delivering exceptional customer service, and fostering a positive team culture. As the cornerstone of our restaurant's success, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, ensure food safety standards, and optimize profitability—all while creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Duties Lead and supervise all restaurant operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning across front-of-house and kitchen teams. Oversee food preparation processes, maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, and safety compliance. Manage inventory control and food management systems to minimize waste and maximize efficiency. Utilize POS system- Clover- for order processing, cash handling, and sales tracking. Train, develop, and motivate staff through effective onboarding, ongoing training programs, and performance evaluations. Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards to uphold the highest levels of hygiene. Conduct shift management duties including scheduling, supervising staff performance, and resolving customer concerns promptly. Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for growth and cost control. Implement staff training initiatives focused on customer service excellence, food handling, and hospitality management. Foster a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, leadership development, and exceptional guest experiences. Experience Proven management experience in quick service or fast food restaurants with a strong understanding of restaurant operations. Extensive background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within casual dining or fine dining settings. Hands-on experience with POS systems; familiarity with cash handling procedures. Demonstrated success in supervising teams, conducting interviews, training staff, and managing hospitality teams effectively. Knowledge of food safety management practices and compliance with health regulations. Experience with inventory control, budgeting, cost analysis, and profit & loss management. Strong leadership skills complemented by excellent managerial communication abilities. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure. Prior experience in catering or banquet services is advantageous; bar experience or coffee shop background is a plus.
