Position Summary The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is a key member of the leadership team and serves as the General Manager's right hand. This position helps oversee the daily operations of the facility, leads and develops team members, ensures exceptional guest experiences, and maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence. The AGM is expected to confidently lead the business in the General Manager's absence and set the standard for professionalism, teamwork, and customer service. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires someone who enjoys working alongside their team while driving operational success. Responsibilities Assist the General Manager in overseeing all daily operations of the facility. Serve as the Manager on Duty and oversee operations in the General Manager's absence. Lead shifts to ensure exceptional guest service and efficient operations. Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members. Assist with employee scheduling and shift coverage. Conduct shift meetings and communicate daily priorities to the team. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, safety, and facility appearance. Ensure birthday parties, private events, and daily operations are executed at a high level. Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally. Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, deposits, and daily reporting. Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies. Ensure company policies, procedures, and safety standards are consistently followed. Support sales initiatives, memberships, birthday party bookings, and special events. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, guest satisfaction, and team performance. Step into any operational role as needed, including admissions, café, party hosting, cleaning, or guest service. Qualifications Previous leadership or management experience in hospitality, retail, restaurants, family entertainment, or another customer-focused environment. Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities. Ability to motivate and hold team members accountable while fostering a positive culture. Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues professionally. Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Basic computer and point-of-sale experience.
