Restaurant Manager / Storefront Manager ONO - Long Beach Island, NJ ONO is looking for a responsible, hands-on Restaurant Manager to oversee our storefront operation in Long Beach Island. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, providing excellent customer service, and keeping a restaurant running smoothly. The manager will be responsible for operating the storefront independently during scheduled shifts and handling the day-to-day responsibilities involved in running a restaurant. Responsibilities Open and close the storefront according to company procedures Manage daily front-of-house operations and ensure the store runs efficiently Provide friendly, professional customer service and create a positive guest experience Take customer orders, answer questions, and resolve customer concerns Oversee cash handling, register operations, and end-of-day procedures Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper presentation of the storefront Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs Receive and organize deliveries as needed Ensure food safety, sanitation, and health-code standards are followed Complete daily cleaning and operational checklists Coordinate with kitchen and ownership/management when necessary Handle basic staffing and scheduling needs when applicable Train and assist employees with company procedures and customer service standards Troubleshoot day-to-day operational issues and make decisions independently Maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere for customers Perform other general restaurant management duties as needed Schedule This is a seasonal position with two primary periods of employment:
September-October:
Part-time/seasonal coverage Summer season: Increased hours and availability, based on business needs The ideal candidate will be available to return for the summer season and is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced storefront environment. Qualifications Previous restaurant, retail, hospitality, or management experience preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Reliable, responsible, and comfortable working independently Ability to multitask and stay organized Comfortable handling cash and operating a POS system Ability to problem-solve and make decisions without constant supervision Must be dependable and have a strong work ethic Food safety certification is a plus Must be available during the summer season What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who can take ownership of the storefront , keep things organized, provide great customer service, and handle the responsibilities of a manager without needing constant supervision. This is an ideal role for someone who wants responsibility and enjoys being the person in charge of the day-to-day operation.
Pay:
$17.00 per hour Expected hours: 45.0 per week
