Our in-house bakery is famous for its artisan breads, custom celebration cakes, fine pastries, and signature fresh-made doughnuts. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Bakery Manager to lead our talented team and maintain our high standards of excellence. Position Summary The Bakery Manager oversees all daily operations of the bakery department at our Franklin Lakes store. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader who can manage production schedules, mentor a team, control inventory, and ensure an immaculate, beautifully merchandised sales floor.

Key Responsibilities Team Leadership:

Hire, train, schedule, and mentor bakery staff to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Merchandising & Presentation:

Maintain vibrant, full, and attractive displays in the bakery cases to captivate customers and drive sales.

Customer Service:

Deliver exceptional customer service by handling custom cake consultations, special orders, and interacting warmly with our loyal clientele.

Inventory & Ordering:

Manage inventory, order baking supplies, minimize waste, and build strong relationships with vendors.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure strict adherence to health department regulations, food safety standards, and cleanliness across all prep and retail areas.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of retail bakery management experience, with a strong background in commercial baking, pastry arts, or cake decorating.

Leadership Qualities:

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Customer-Centric:

Excellent communication skills with a passion for building rapport with customers and community members.

Availability:

Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
