Job Description
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Being present in our Restaurant and Bar during busy times. We are Open for Breakfast and Dinner.- Overseeing the day-to-day restaurant functions by operating within required budget levels without compromising food or beverage quality and service.
- "Working the floor" during operating hours, greeting and interacting with guests.
- Leading and coaching staff to achieve the highest quality of service in all areas of the restaurant.
- Scheduling FOH staffing appropriately according to business needs
- Provide a safe, clean and sanitary environment.
- Interviewing and selecting, training, scheduling and developing staff.
- Training, coaching and disciplinary actions for all FOH staff as needed
- Ensuring compliance of all local, state and federal labor & alcohol laws.
- Working as a team with our executive chef, taking monthly food and alcohol inventory, Submitting reports and recommendations to General Manager.
- Attending Weekly Manager Meeting
- Monitor food presentation and service.
- Cash Handling.
- Liaising with suppliers and sales representatives.
- Assist in promoting and marketing restaurant and event venues.
- Taking reservations, answering phone, taking Togo orders.
- Handling customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and in the best interest of the customer and business
- Handling administration and paperwork as delegated.
- Leading by example in setting the standards and expectations of our staff in providing excellence in both food quality and service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, 3+ years of Front and Back of House Restaurant experience
- Minimum of three or more verifiable consecutive years of supervisory or management in a full- service restaurant. Hotel experience a plus.
- Excellent written & verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Bi-lingual a plus.
- Professional image and demeanor.
- Detail oriented and able to meet deadlines.
- Proficient and willing to learn with Dinerware, Skytouch Hospitality, and MS Office applications.
- Able to meet the physical demands of extensive standing/walking for ten hours shifts or other physical exertions including bending, stooping or lifting of good of 50 lbs. or more.
- Available Evenings, holidays, weekends and times when hotel is busy.
- Able to work 40-50 hours per week depending on business needs.
