Assistant General Manager at Starbucks (JFK Airport) Hot Job 4256 VRG Terminal 8 LLC - Queens, NY 11430 Apply Overview Salary Range $75,000.00 - $75,000.00 Salary/year Apply Description Villa Restaurant Group is seeking a motivated and experienced Starbucks Assistant General Manager to join the opening leadership team for our brand-new Starbucks location at JFK International Airport's Terminal 6 . The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to build a strong team, oversee daily operations, and ensure every guest receives the high-quality products and service associated with the Starbucks brand. What You'll Do Support the General Manager in overseeing all daily store operations Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, and developing team members Lead shifts and ensure the store operates efficiently during high-volume periods Maintain Starbucks standards for beverage quality, guest service, cleanliness, food safety, and store presentation Monitor labor, inventory, product waste, cash handling, and operational expenses Address guest concerns professionally and help create a welcoming customer experience Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and performance support to shift leaders and baristas Help maintain accurate payroll, scheduling, inventory, and operational records Ensure compliance with Starbucks standards, Villa Restaurant Group policies, airport requirements, union requirements, and applicable regulations Assume responsibility for store operations when the General Manager is unavailable Support opening activities, training, and the successful launch of the new location Maintain the flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs What You'll Need At least two years of supervisory or management experience in a restaurant, café, retail, or hospitality environment Starbucks leadership experience is strongly preferred Experience leading and developing employees in a fast-paced operation Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of scheduling, labor management, inventory, cash handling, and food-safety practices The ability to lead by example and maintain a positive, professional workplace Experience working in an airport, union, or similarly regulated environment is a plus The ability to meet all JFK Airport security and badging requirements The ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties required in a restaurant environment Why Join Villa Restaurant Group?
