Job Description

Overview We're a high-volume, fast-casual brew pub looking for a hands-on, high-energy Front of House & Catering/Events Manager to run the floor during our busiest shifts while building out our growing private events and off-site catering business (office lunches, brewery buyouts, tap takeovers, game-day catering, etc.). This is a dual-track role designed for someone who wants to develop into a General Manager — you'll get exposure to full P&L responsibility, labor management, vendor relationships, and business development, not just shift supervision. This is the right role for someone who thrives under pressure, loves being in the middle of the action during a packed Friday night or game day, and is equally comfortable pulling together a proposal for a 100-person event. Front of House Duties Run day-to-day FOH operations during high-volume fast-casual service — counter/QR ordering flow expediting, table turns, and beer service Supervise, schedule, and coach counter staff, servers, bartenders, food runners, and bussers Own labor cost control and scheduling efficiency against sales forecasts, including surge staffing for game days and events Ensure compliance with health, safety, and responsible alcohol service (TIPS/state certification) regulations Train and onboard new FOH staff; maintain service standards and SOPs across counter and table service Handle guest complaints and service escalations in real time Partner with kitchen and BOH leadership on ticket times, food expo flow, and beer/tap list communication Catering & Private Events Serve as the primary point of contact for catering and private event inquiries from first call to post-event follow-up Build proposals, contracts, and BEOs (banquet event orders); manage deposits and final invoicing Coordinate logistics with kitchen, FOH, vendors, and rental companies Staff and lead events on-site, ensuring execution matches client expectations Develop and grow the catering/events revenue stream — outreach, partnerships, packages, upselling Track event profitability and report on catering P&L Leadership Development (GM Track) Participate in P&L review, budgeting, and forecasting alongside ownership/GM Learn vendor negotiation, inventory oversight, and purchasing Take on manager-on-duty (MOD) shifts with full operational authority Support hiring, performance management, and culture building across FOH Progressively take ownership of a defined area (e.g., events P&L, labor, or vendor relationships) as a proving ground toward GM readiness
