NEW RESTAURANT
opening in Mahopac October 2026! Named after Chef Matthew Safarowic's father, Freddy's is a nod to old school New York establishments of decades past offering that special combination of American comfort classics with a lively and boisterous atmosphere. Dressed in leather, exposed brick and red and white checkered tablecloths, Freddy's offers a hint of nostalgia mixed with modern American tavern fare, 6 different tap offerings and reimagined classic cocktails. To start, we plan to be open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner from 4-9/10PM. We will be adding brunch on the weekends likely in the new year. We're looking to fill this unique role with a special individual to work closely with the Owner/Operators. We are looking for someone that is an extension of ourselves and loves making people happy through food and experiences. The focus of the role will be on daily service, staffing and scheduling. Two years of management experience in a similar role or 5 years of service experience with the interest of moving to management required. Experience is important, but we're willing to train the right person who exhibits our ideals and works well with our small, close knit team. We LOVE what we do and make it a point to make "work" as fun and enjoyable as possible. We operate like a family and are eager to begin a dialogue about the role and the future of the business.
Must haves:
  • Warm, welcoming personality. The restaurant is an extension of our home.
  • A love, passion and knowledge of food, wine and spirits
  • Knowledge of steps of service and attention to all details
  • Team player, meaning you can roll up your sleeves and get things done for the greater good of the restaurant
  • Relative experience in hospitality/food beverage industry, particularly managing staff/personalities Responsibilities include:
  • Train and Manage staff
  • FOH schedules
  • Ordering (paper goods, beverage, linen etc.)
  • Payroll
  • Team leadership
