Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to lead the complete food and beverage operation at a golf club in the Aiken, South Carolina area. This is an opportunity for a hospitality professional who is comfortable taking full ownership of the operation. The right candidate will be responsible for both the front of house and back of house , staff leadership, kitchen operations, menu development, events, financial controls, and revenue growth. This position will have support from a Regional Manager, but we are looking for someone who can truly run the entire operation . Key Responsibilities Manage all food and beverage operations, including front of house and back of house Oversee kitchen operations, food preparation, quality, presentation, and consistency Hire, train, schedule, coach, and manage food and beverage staff Create an efficient staffing model that balances service quality with labor costs Develop and maintain a profitable, appealing menu appropriate for a golf and hospitality environment Monitor food costs, labor costs, COGS, inventory, waste, and overall departmental profitability Manage ordering, receiving, vendor relationships, and inventory controls Review and process invoices and maintain accurate financial controls Develop and manage departmental budgets Drive revenue through daily operations, events, promotions, outings, tournaments, and special programming Build and maintain an annual events calendar and coordinate events throughout the year Oversee banquet, tournament, member, social, and private event execution Work closely with golf operations and club leadership to maximize participation and revenue Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, hospitality, and customer service Create a positive, accountable, professional work environment Continuously evaluate the operation and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, service, and guest satisfaction What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have experience in several of the following areas: Hospitality management Restaurant or club food and beverage management Kitchen management Food preparation and kitchen operations Front-of-house management Staff hiring, scheduling, training, and development Menu development and pricing Food and labor cost controls Budgeting and financial management Purchasing, inventory, and vendor management Event planning and execution Revenue generation and business development Golf club or country club experience is preferred but not required. Strong restaurant, resort, hospitality, or event-management experience will also be considered. We are looking for someone who is organized, energetic, accountable, financially disciplined, and willing to be hands-on . This is not a position for someone who simply maintains the status quo. We want a leader who looks for opportunities, develops people, drives revenue, controls expenses, and continually improves the operation.
