Use mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance on more complex problems. Prioritize and schedule work to meet production deadlines while balancing quality and efficiency. Lead by example in accountability, communication, and operational excellence, especially in an environment with limited direct oversight. Essential Skills 3-5+ years of manufacturing experience in a chemical, ink, paint, coatings, pharmaceutical, or similar process manufacturing environment. Previous leadership experience as a Lead, Team Lead, Shift Lead, or equivalent role. Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop production operators in a manufacturing setting. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in a fast-paced environment. Experience with batch manufacturing and production scheduling (preferred but strongly valued). Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles. Proven ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with limited oversight. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around production equipment and processes. Strong safety focus and commitment to following GMPs, SOPs, and all safety requirements. Hands-on experience with batch production processes and related documentation. Familiarity with production KPIs and performance tracking. Experience in continuous improvement projects or Lean initiatives. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Comfort working in an environment where both cleanliness and exposure to paint and cleaning processes are present. Why Work Here? You will join a stable, process-driven manufacturing environment where your leadership directly supports a product that is essential to printing and everyday life. The organization offers clear room for growth and rewards learning by increasing pay as you master new jobs and successfully complete exams. You can expect strong job security, opportunities to develop your leadership and technical skills, and the chance to contribute to continuous improvement in a well-structured, safety-focused operation. Work Environment This role operates in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility that maintains strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The environment is generally clean but involves working around paint, ink, and cleaning tubs, so you should be comfortable in a setting where both cleanliness standards and exposure to production materials coexist. The position is for the second shift with a schedule of Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with overtime on Fridays and some Saturdays as needed. You will work with production equipment, batch processes, and related documentation while collaborating with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, and Warehouse teams.
