Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to join our vibrant restaurant team. In this pivotal role, you will lead daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and support the management team in maintaining a smooth, efficient, and profitable restaurant environment. Duties Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including overseeing food preparation, service quality, and cleanliness standards. Support staff training initiatives to ensure team members are knowledgeable about food handling, POS systems such as Aloha and Micros, and customer service protocols. Supervise shift activities, including supervising team members, managing schedules, and ensuring smooth workflow during busy hours. Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste and controlling costs. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, perform cash handling duties, and reconcile daily sales reports. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and food safety management practices across all departments. Contribute to profit and loss analysis by monitoring sales performance, controlling expenses, and supporting budgeting efforts. Requirements Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food production. Demonstrated supervisory or assistant manager experience within the hospitality or food industry. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking. Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead training sessions and foster a positive work environment. Strong understanding of food safety standards, inventory control, and kitchen management practices. Effective communication skills for managerial communication, staff training, interviewing potential team members, and customer service interactions. Basic math skills for cash handling, budgeting, and profit analysis; experience with food cost management is a plus. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining high standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction.
