Job Description

The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Bakery Co-Manager directs the team and day-to-day operation, which includes all aspects of the guest experience, cake production, brand and merchandise presentation, work environment, P&L management and inventory control. The ultimate objective of this role is to drive sales and profitability while ensuring the highest-quality cakes, a warm, welcoming environment and superior service are consistently provided to our guests and your team. The Bakery Manager exemplifies NbC core values and serves as the key culture carrier to bring joy to the bakery and beyond in the community while building the team's commitment to our guests and the NbC brand. I. Business Operations
  • Ensures NbC product, service, bakery environment and visual merchandising standards are consistently upheld.
  • Ensures all bakery operations adhere to food and health safety standards and NbC policies and procedures. Conducting figure 8's in each department and providing on-going support and team training.
  • Facilitates the opening and closing of the bakery, including cash-drawer balancing.
  • Creates and communicates weekly sales productivity goals, cake production plan and team schedule, and adjusts bakery coverage based on changing business trends (using local seasonality and local labor cost information).

  • Sets inventory par levels based on production demand and sales forecast, monitors stock levels during holiday times.
  • Manages all controllable expenses, including labor <20%, maintenance, supplies, and retail inventory to maximize profitability.
  • Performs administrative functions including: Placing, receiving, organizing Shipp orders (email Shipp representative, regarding missing or damaged items) Review Weekly NBU and create action item to-do list Updating holiday hours, and out-of-stock items in

respond to time-sensitive requests daily Create quarterly Newsletter to recognize team members, promote progression, and announce up-coming events and in-bakery changes Review Guest Service Awards to GSRs monthly Ensure Seasonal Team Motivation (e.g. order lunches, plan parties, hold competitions, give awards)
  • Manages special-order fulfillment via web and email for individual guests and corporate accounts as well as large, complex orders and deliveries (e.g. fundraisers and weddings). Work Availability
  • Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, and some holidays and events, occasional wedding deliveries based on changing business demands. Must be available to respond to team texts/calls during operating hours. (Closed Christmas, Thanksgiving, & Easter)
Possible Schedule:
Mondays Co-Managers work together 8:30-1:30pm, Tuesday or Friday 8:30-1:30 (one of these will be your day off), Wednesday or Thursday 10:30-3:30, Wednesday or Thursday 2-7pm, 2 Saturdays per month 9-1, 2 Sundays per months 11-2pm. Occasional Events. Schedule has flexibility.

  • Communicates daily with Co-Bakery Manager to coordinate responsibilities and schedules.

  • Communicates weekly with owners to review previous weeks sales, Labor percentages, SMG/OSAT.
  • Monthly in-bakery visits from owners
Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of leadership experience: managing teams, home management, hospitality, or foodservice industries.
  • Foodservice safety training certificate (or required to obtain within 90 days of employment).
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with comfort in learning new technologies.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 30.0 per week
