Twin City Lanes / Zachary's Pizza - Barre, VT Twin City Lanes and Zachary's Pizza are looking for an Assistant Kitchen Manager who knows how to lead from the line, build a strong team, and keep a busy kitchen moving. We're not looking for someone who wants to stand on the sidelines and tell everyone else what to do.
We want a leader who jumps in, sets the pace, and leads by example. More importantly, we want someone who understands that great leadership isn't just about getting through tonight's shift. - Lead shifts and keep the kitchen organized, clean, and moving
- Work the line and set the standard for speed, quality, and consistency
- Train and develop cooks instead of simply correcting them
- Help newer employees build confidence and become stronger at their positions
- Hold people accountable while treating them with respect
- Help with prep, ordering, inventory, food safety, and kitchen organization
- Maintain recipe, portion, and presentation standards
- Help control waste and labor
- Help create a kitchen people actually want to work in
