Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead the daily operations of our independently owned Italian restaurant. This is a working leadership position for someone who enjoys being on the floor, knows how to build relationships with guests, and can lead a small team with consistency and care. Hire, train, schedule, and coach restaurant staff. Create a warm, welcoming experience for every guest. Work closely with the owner and kitchen team to ensure smooth service. Manage labor, inventory, purchasing, and operating costs. Handle reservations, guest concerns, and day-to-day operational issues. Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, food, wine, and service. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol-service requirements. Help build repeat business and strong relationships with regular guests. Qualifications Previous restaurant management experience, preferably in a full-service independent restaurant. Strong leadership and communication skills. Understanding of restaurant costs, scheduling, inventory, and basic financials. Knowledge and appreciation of Italian food and wine is a plus. Organized, dependable, and comfortable working alongside the team. Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. What We're Looking For We want a manager who treats the restaurant like their own—someone who leads by example, cares about the details, knows the guests, supports the staff, and works closely with the owner to build a successful neighborhood restaurant.
