Job Description
Off The Rez is looking for a Cafe Manager at our Cafe location in the Burke Museum.
This person will be responsible for the Day to Day Operations of our Cafe. You can expect clear goals, expectations and communication from ownership on your responsibilities. The schedule will be based upon the needs of the business and can change based upon the team availability. -Requirements-Previous barista/food service experience is a mustShift lead or manager experience strongly preferredMust effectively manage and coach employees including setting goals for development and improvementAssist with inventory and schedulingMust be able to work well in a fast paced environmentStrong attention to detailMust be reliableMust be a team player with a positive, professional attitude Must have strong knowledge of food safety requirements and keep workspace cleanMust provide excellent customer serviceMust be able to communicate effectively about any needs for the cafe with ownersMust demonstrate good judgment and common senseBe able to lift at least 50lbs Washington food worker card requiredMAST Class 12 permit or ability to obtain soon after hiring-Compensation-Compensation may increase based upon experience. This position is tipped -- tips will vary but generally average between $7-15/hour (this is an example, not a guarantee). Tips can be higher if you assist in catering events.
