This is a hands-on leadership position for an energetic hospitality professional who enjoys working directly with Members and guests, developing a strong service team, and creating a welcoming and consistently excellent dining experience. The Dining Room Manager will be highly visible on the floor, lead and develop the service team, and work closely with the culinary team and Club leadership to ensure professional, efficient, and seamless service. The successful candidate will be a strong relationship builder who understands the importance of personalized service, teamwork, and attention to detail in a private club environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the dining room while maintaining a strong presence on the floor Provide warm, attentive, and professional service to Members and their guests Develop positive relationships with Members and provide personalized, attentive hospitality Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and develop dining room and bar staff Conduct pre-shift meetings and provide ongoing coaching and training Establish and maintain high standards for service, hospitality, cleanliness, presentation, and professionalism Work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to coordinate service and ensure smooth execution Manage reservations, staffing levels, table assignments, and service flow throughout each meal period Assist with labor management, scheduling, budgeting, and departmental cost control Plan and execute special dinners, themed events, Member functions, and other Club dining programs Respond to Member questions, requests, and feedback promptly and professionally Address service issues in a timely, positive, and solutions-oriented manner Collaborate with Club leadership and other departments to provide a seamless overall Member experience Qualifications Previous management or supervisory experience in a restaurant, private club, country club, hotel, or similar hospitality environment Strong knowledge of dining room and beverage service Proven ability to lead, train, motivate, and develop a service team Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities A genuine commitment to exceptional hospitality and customer service Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
