Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee all aspects of kitchen operations. This pivotal role involves managing food preparation, ensuring exceptional food quality, maintaining safety standards, and supervising staff to deliver a memorable dining experience. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for coordinating daily kitchen activities, controlling inventory, and fostering a positive team environment that promotes efficiency and excellence. Responsibilities Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality standards are met consistently. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices. Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety protocols, proper food handling, and efficient cooking techniques to uphold hygiene standards. Utilize POS systems such as TOAST POS and for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation to ensure accurate transactions. Coordinate shift management by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring smooth workflow during busy service hours. Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations related to food safety management and sanitation practices. Lead staff training initiatives focused on culinary skills, customer service excellence, and team development to foster a motivated work environment. Conduct regular quality checks on food production to maintain consistency across all menu items while managing costs effectively through budgeting and profit & loss analysis. Support restaurant management in implementing operational policies that enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. Participate in interviewing potential team members to build a skilled and dedicated hospitality team aligned with company standards. Experience Proven experience managing kitchen environments with a strong background in food preparation and cooking. Demonstrated supervisory experience overseeing culinary teams within full service dining settings. Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS for sales processing and inventory tracking. Experience with food safety management practices in standards and sanitation procedures. Strong background in restaurant management, including shift management, budgeting, cost control, and profit & loss analysis. Previous roles involving team training, staff development, and managerial communication within hospitality or food service industries.
