Job Description

We are seeking an energetic, team-oriented people-person to be responsible for the performance of Quality technicians on Night shift. The supervisor will manage a team of technicians to ensure they perform at a high level while meeting the needs of the production floor and product quality. This individual will be responsible for Quality assurance related metrics for their shift. The supervisor will performance manage their team to generate the highest value from every employee while maintaining a high level of technical ability. Guide and coordinate Technicians on shift, taking primary ownership for their training and ability to maintain conformance to quality procedures and specifications Drive improvement activities across the shift to increase team knowledge and capability Align with Quality engineering team to support incoming quality activities Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, defined plans, and written/verbal instructions Maintain quality performance metrics and drive issues to root cause solutions Audit manufacturing line against released manufacturing processes and procedures Provide coaching and training to technicians and inspectors, define goals and performance metrics Must understand general manufacturing processes, Quality methodologies, and team leadership Must be adaptable in work schedule (including compressed work week and night shift) and the working environment Effective verbal and written communications skills along with strong attention to detail, flexibility, and prioritization Capable of providing constructive feedback to subordinates Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information Multitasks and adapts to constant change Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 10+ hours per day, wear air purifying respirator as needed for specific tasks Lift at least 10 -20 lbs. on a regular basis, perform repetitive hand and wrist motions and sometimes may have to twist and bend body Ability to climb ladders/stairs Work in a loud environment Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $96,000 - $144,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
