This role ensures compliance with company standards, maintains high levels of product quality and freshness, and supports overall sales and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily deli operations to ensure product availability, quality, and presentation Maintain accurate inventory through proper stock rotation, replenishment, and monitoring of product levels Ensure all deli products are handled, prepared, and stored in accordance with company and food safety standards Monitor product quality and freshness, ensuring timely removal or disposition of unsellable items Supervise and manage department staff to ensure adherence to company procedures and performance expectations Coordinate merchandising, signage, and product displays to support sales and customer engagement Review inventory trends, shrink, and discrepancies to identify and address concerns Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal audit standards Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation throughout the deli department Qualifications Previous experience in deli, food service, retail, or warehouse operations Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and product handling Experience leading or managing a team Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools Preferred Qualifications Experience managing a deli or perishable department Familiarity with food safety regulations and audit expectations Background in high-volume retail or wholesale environments Work Environment / Expectations Primarily retail or warehouse environment with temperature-controlled areas. Requires standing, walking, and handling products for extended periods. May require schedule flexibility based on department needs.
