As a Kavatender, you will be the heart of our café or casual dining environment, delivering exceptional customer service while expertly preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages, food items, and specialty drinks. Duties Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages using professional espresso machines such as Aloha POS or Micros POS systems. Assist in food preparation, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and safety regulations. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems; process payments efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service. Supervise daily shift operations, including supervising staff, managing customer flow, and ensuring smooth service delivery. Train new team members on food handling, beverage preparation, customer service protocols, and safety procedures. Oversee food safety compliance, sanitation standards, and kitchen cleanliness to uphold health regulations. Support management with budgeting tasks, staff scheduling, and performance evaluations to foster a productive team environment. Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or beverage service within quick service or fast food restaurants. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential. Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience in hospitality or restaurant settings. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally. Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling techniques; prior kitchen management experience is preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with inventory control, training & development of staff, and restaurant management practices. Hospitality industry background with casual dining or café experience is highly desirable; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
