Dining Room Supervisor Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. One year of management experience needed. Able to work under deadlines, while providing customer service. Supervisory/management skills. Must be able to train and mentor first time employees. Work independently and carry out assignments to completion within supervision. Able to work in a team environment. Listening and communication skills. Must complete all assigned educational training in the first 90 days of employment, and the first 90 days of a new calendar year.
Summary:
The Dining Supervisor helps to ensure that residents and guests have a pleasant and memorable dining experience. Ensuring that appearance, setup, maintenance, cleanliness and safety of dining areas are maintained. Assist in supervising and training of dining room staff to our standards of excellence; while coordinating food service between the kitchen and dining staff.
Duties:
Supervise all dining room staff. Takes control of the dining room staff when Dining Room Manager is not present and/or vacation. Answer phone calls and take reservations. Responsible for assisting in making servers schedule. Receives and resolves complaints concerning dining room service. Make recommendations with respect to staff evaluations, disciplinary actions and terminations. Provide an overall dining experience for our guests. Make sure that all Dining Room areas are neat and tidy at all times. All non-essential items or equipment that are not being used or saved be discarded or repurposed. This includes any part of the Dining Room that is not being presently in use. Engaging with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service. Helping out with other positions in the dining room as needed. Takes a section of tables in the Dining Room when needed. Make sure all equipment is in good working order, report broken equipment immediately to manager for repair. Employer has attendance and uniform Standards. This includes name tag. Perform other duties as assigned by Director.
Position hours:
10:00AM - 7:00PM Includes working every weekend / off days during the week
