Position Summary Position Summary Assists the Food Service Supervisor and/or Manager with oversight of the daily operations of patient and non-patient services, including daily operational activities of the department, assuring that all quality and standards are met. Essential Functions Schedules and trains staff, reports cash transactions, prepares cash deposits, compiles patient menus and special needs, setup and checking of patient tray line and opening and closing of the department. Prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner, directs catering and doctor's lounge service. Communicates proper information regarding any patient or non-patient needs to peers, staff and Food Service Supervisor or Manager. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions Participates in monthly department QA/QI and all related in-services. Aids Food Service Supervisor or Manager in development of in-services to improve quality in designated areas. Ensures that proper portion controls, tray delivery standards, café service standards are followed by staff. Aware of Food Borne Illness prevention and sanitation requirements and assures compliance within department. Follows all universal precautions as they apply to food services. Education/Training High School graduate or equivalent required. Licensure/Certification None. Experience Three (3) years previous food service experience.
