Shift Leader - Marco's Pizza Marco's Pizza is looking for a dependable and motivated Shift Leader to oversee daily restaurant operations and lead team members during assigned shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level manager who wants to grow within the company. We are looking for candidates with the potential to develop into Assistant Manager and General Manager roles. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can maintain high standards for customer service, food quality, cleanliness, safety, and team performance while keeping the shift organized and running efficiently. Shift Leader Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and provide direction to team members during assigned shifts. Assign duties and ensure all positions and workstations are properly covered. Train, coach, and support new and existing employees. Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback. Handle call-outs, last-minute absences, and shift coverage concerns. Resolve customer concerns and employee conflicts professionally. Ensure customers receive friendly, accurate, and timely service. Take customer orders in person and over the phone. Prepare food and assist with kitchen operations as needed. Verify that food meets Marco's Pizza quality, portion, and presentation standards. Ensure proper food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures are followed. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the entire restaurant. Inspect equipment and report repair or replacement needs to management. Count cash drawers, complete shift paperwork, and prepare bank deposits. Stock and restock ingredients, supplies, and workstations. Foster a positive, respectful, and productive work environment. Complete opening and closing procedures as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience as a Shift Leader, Team Leader, or in a similar restaurant management role is preferred. Restaurant or customer service experience is strongly preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to remain calm and solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to excellent customer service and food quality. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Basic cash-handling and organizational skills. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is preferred. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical restaurant duties. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Schedule Availability Must have flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Availability to work closing shifts until approximately 3:00 a.m. is strongly preferred .
