As a Roll-Off Driver, you'll safely deliver, remove, and transport roll-off containers for commercial and industrial customers while providing outstanding customer service and operating safely as your top priority.
What You'll Do as a Roll-Off Driver, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service while operating safely and efficiently every day. Safely operate Waste Pro's Roll-Off trucks to deliver, exchange, and remove containers for commercial customers.
Secure containers using hooks, cables, straps, and tarps as required. Attach hooks to containers and operate hydraulic controls to load containers safely onto the truck.
Operate hydraulic lifting and compaction equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with Waste Pro policies and DOT regulations.
Complete Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) and Safety Lane inspections, including inspections of the engine compartment, undercarriage, tires, brakes, lights, fluid levels, and other critical vehicle systems.
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle by performing routine cleaning and washing the truck's exterior.
Deliver Waste Pro's Distinguishably Different customer service by providing courteous, prompt, and professional service during every customer interaction.
Respond professionally to customer questions and direct service requests or account-related inquiries to Customer Service or the Sales Representative when appropriate.
Promptly communicate service concerns, route issues, or customer requests to dispatch and management.
Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws.
Maintain accurate vehicle inspection records and complete all required operational paperwork.
Promote a positive image of Waste Pro by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Perform other duties as assigned to support safe and efficient operations. Qualifications Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL)
Clean driving record
Must be at least 21 years of age
Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle safety standards
Ability to safely operate heavy equipment
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
Ability to meet hearing and vision requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation Special Considerations / Physical Requirements

Ability to independently lift up to 50 pounds from ground level to waist height on a frequent basis
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance, when necessary
Ability to safely enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle repeatedly throughout the workday
Ability to frequently bend, kneel, squat, twist, climb, and perform repetitive physical movements
Ability to safely reach overhead and secure container tarps using a tarp pole while applying moderate pulling force
Ability to climb heights of up to 8 feet to deploy and secure tarping equipment
Ability to work shifts of 8-12 hours, including overtime when required
Ability to perform essential job duties in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety Work Environment This position is primarily performed outdoors and requires working in a variety of environmental conditions. Employees should be comfortable working in: Hot, cold, rainy, windy, humid, and other changing weather conditions
Environments with exposure to noise, dust, odors, fumes, vibrations, and moving mechanical equipment
Active commercial, industrial, and construction sites
Areas with heavy truck traffic and operating equipment while following all established safety procedures
A safety-sensitive work environment where adherence to company policies and DOT regulations is required This position requires regular standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and other physical activities throughout the workday.
