Roadies keep the show moving. Jittery Joe's has been roasting coffee in Athens, Georgia since 1994. For more than 30 years, we've been making great coffee, supporting our communities, and bringing a little Athens energy wherever our coffee goes. Now we're opening something new: Jittery Joe's first drive-thru-only location, featuring two drive-thru lanes and dedicated mobile pickup. We're building our team from the ground up — and we're looking for Roadies to help lead the way. So…what's a Roadie? In the Jittery Joe's world, a Roadie is our version of a Shift Lead. Roadies are the leaders on the floor. They keep the Joe Crew moving, jump in wherever they're needed, solve problems when things get crazy, and make sure the whole operation is ready for the next rush. You won't spend your shift sitting on the sidelines telling people what to do. When the line gets long, you're in it with the crew. When someone needs help, you jump in. When something isn't working, you figure it out. When the team has a great shift, you helped make it happen. At Jittery Joe's, we believe every customer experience comes down to four things:

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Roadie, you'll lead the Joe Crew during your shift and help make sure the store is running at its best.

You'll:

Lead and support the Joe Crew during daily operations Set the tone for a positive, energetic, and productive shift Assign team positions and adjust deployment as the business changes Help coordinate both drive-thru lanes during busy periods Keep mobile orders organized and moving Jump into production, customer service, or any other position when the team needs you Make sure coffee, espresso drinks, signature beverages, and food are prepared correctly Coach team members in real time and help them improve Help train new Joe Crew members Handle customer questions and concerns with confidence and hospitality Follow and reinforce food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards Complete opening and closing responsibilities Handle cash and POS responsibilities accurately Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs Keep the team focused during high-volume rushes Communicate important information to management and the next shift Help identify problems and find better ways to operate Hold yourself and the team accountable to Jittery Joe's standards Most importantly: Lead from the front. When the drive-thru is backed up, you aren't watching the clock. You're helping the crew figure it out.

WHO MAKES A GREAT ROADIE?

You might be our person if you: Bring the energy.

Your attitude affects the whole team. You know how to stay positive even when things get busy. Can take the lead.

You're comfortable making decisions, giving direction, and taking responsibility for the shift. Stay calm under pressure.

Two drive-thru lanes, mobile orders, and a morning rush can get hectic. You can keep your head and keep the team moving. Know how to work with people.

You can coach someone without talking down to them. You can hold people accountable while still making them feel supported. Notice things.

You're the person who sees that we're running low on cups, a station needs restocking, a new employee needs help, or a customer has been waiting too long — and you do something about it. Have high standards.

Speed matters. Accuracy matters. Cleanliness matters. Great coffee matters. Great hospitality matters. Lead by example.

You're willing to do every job you ask someone else to do. Want to grow.

We're building a new operation, and we're looking for people who want to grow with it.

EXPERIENCE

Previous leadership experience in coffee, restaurants, retail, hospitality, or another fast-paced customer-service environment is preferred. Previous experience as a Shift Lead, Shift Supervisor, Key Holder, Team Lead, or similar role is a plus. Coffee experience is also a plus — but it isn't everything. We can teach you coffee. We need you to bring leadership. If you have strong leadership potential and think you're ready for your first formal leadership role, we'd still love to hear from you.

BE PART OF THE OPENING TEAM

This isn't an established store where you're stepping into someone else's playbook. We're building this one together. As an opening Roadie, you'll have the opportunity to help establish the culture, routines, standards, and systems that will define this location. You'll help train the Joe Crew. You'll help figure out what works. You'll help make the operation better. And you'll help create the kind of Jittery Joe's that customers want to come back to every day.
