Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious meals following established recipes and menu plans, ensuring high-quality food production for large volumes of students daily Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, poaching stations, braising pots, and food processors safely and efficiently Adhere strictly to food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling guidelines to maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment Assist with menu planning by implementing dietary guidelines and catering to special dietary needs when necessary Support meal service by portioning, plating, and serving food in accordance with established standards Maintain accurate records of food inventory, storage conditions, and sanitation routines to ensure compliance with health regulations Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during high-volume meal preparation times Skills Proven dietary aide experience or similar food service background within school or healthcare settings Experience with menu planning and recipe adherence to meet nutritional standards Knowledge of food safety management practices, including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling techniques Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment confidently and safely Previous experience in high-volume production environments or catering is highly desirable Familiarity with dietary department protocols and food industry standards for quality assurance Embark on a fulfilling career where your culinary talents help shape healthy futures!
