Director of Food & Nutrition Services Location:
Palatine, IL St. Josephs Home for the Elderly is seeking an experienced Director of Food & Nutrition Services to lead our dietary department and support exceptional, person-centered care for our residents. This position oversees food service operations, staff management, regulatory compliance, budgeting, food safety, and resident nutrition programs. Responsibilities Manage daily food service and dietary operations Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate dietary staff. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements Collaborate with residents, nursing staff, and dietitians to support individualized nutrition care plans Manage department budgets, purchasing, inventory, and equipment maintenance Participate in quality improvement and interdisciplinary team meetings Qualifications Current Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional (CDM, CFPP) credential required Minimum 3 years of food service management experience, preferably in long-term care, senior living, or healthcare Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Knowledge of food safety regulations and nutrition services Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic record systems Apply today to join our team and help provide exceptional nutrition and hospitality services to our residents. #INDRPO
