Kitchen Lead Staff - Line / Prep Cook Maple Leaf Coffee House Saint Charles, IL Job Details Part-time $22 an hour 3 days ago Benefits 401(k) Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Customer communication Shift management Attention to detail Meal preparation Leadership Food Handler Certification Kitchen experience Communication with kitchen staff Full Job Description Maple Leaf Coffee House (www.mapleleafcafe.com) is a quick service cafe (food, specialty coffee) in Saint Charles. We run a two to three person kitchen along with prep shifts and do our best to keep our space clean, well maintained and serve top notch food. We are looking to hire another person to serve as a lead member of our kitchen staff. We must have weekend availability, including Fridays and you can expect a minumum of 20 hours per week and up to 30 hours. More hours may available depending on your schedule. Please let us know about your relevant restaurant/food service experience, whether you have a food handlers certificate and any restrictions on your schedule. com/jobs Example duties include:
Prepare and serve a variety of food. Directing and coordinating tasks amongst team members. Take customer orders and provide exceptional customer service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations.
You must have:
Previous experience working in a kitchen. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to interact with FOH staff in a friendly manner. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Bonus points:
Experience leading a shift or helping to organize activities in a commercial kitchen environment. Open availability is awesome, kitchen staff starts at 730am and we close kitchen service at 250pm. Food service experience A food manager certificate
